75 Years of Saturday Night Entertainment
Located in Thorold, Ontario, Merrittville Speedway has been hosting dirt racing for over 70 years. Every Saturday night, from late April to mid September you will find the most entertaining show there is-right here in the "Heart of Niagara".
The 3/8 mile dirt oval boasts a fast, smooth surface that attracts some 100 competitors in five divisions. In addition to the 358 Modifieds, DIRTcar Sportsman, Mod-Lites, Hoosier Stocks, and 4 Cylinder divisions that run on a weekly basis, there are a number of special events that take place at Merrittville Speedway throughout the season.
What's more, Tuesday nights under the lights brings World Karting Association style go-karts racing to Merrittville Speedway. For nearly 30 years the kart racing has been the starting point for many stars on that that compete on Saturday nights.
The Speedway enjoys a weekly crowd that could approach 2500 people over an approximate twenty-four race seaon.
