DIRTcar 358-Modified Series Kicks
Off Season with Ontario Swing |
PORT,
N.Y. — May 16, 2012 — The 2012
DIRTcar 358 Modified Series gets the
green light this weekend with two
events at two long-time DIRTcar-sanctioned
facilities as part of the Victoria
Day celebration in Canada.
Cornwall (Ontario) Motor Speedway
will host the Series opener on
Sunday, May 20th. Merrittville
Speedway in Thorold, Ontario, will
host their traditional Victoria Day
event on Monday, May 21st.
Last
season Dale Planck of Cortland,
N.Y., Stephan LaFrance of
Brockville, Ontario-Canada captured
the two series events at Cornwall,
while Brett Hearn of Sussex, N.J.,
drove to victory lane at
Merrittville Speedway.

with Cody McPherson out battling his

40 lap Special at Merrittville

12th when Merrittville Speedway
hosts Lococo Wholesale – an event
that features the 2012 Opener of the
King of the Crates Series powered by
David Chevrolet and Registration
Night for the Kids Club.

the second 40 lap special on tap in
two weeks for the Sportsman,”

Brad
Rouse won both the King of the
Crates Series and overall Title last
season and it will be interesting to
witness his title defence this
season. Cody McPherson - third place
overall last season won the Spring
Sizzler 40 lap Event while Rouse

Entertainment’s night club
experience. When action took to the
Thorold d-shaped oval they continued
to be rocked as the 2012
Championship Chase kicked off with
some thrilling 3 and 4 wide action
through all 5 Lucas Oil Weekly
Racing Series Divisions.
Mat

wins in the Bobcat of Hamilton 358
Modified, Original Pizza Logs

got a little impatient last week and
kind of gave it away,” admitted Mat
