This past Sunday, Merrittville Speedway co-owners Pete Bicknell and Randy Williamson, along with Tech Official David Sim hosted a meeting to review technical changes for the 2015 Race Season as well as a few key dates that will help make the Thorold facility’s 64th consecutive season.

Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Dirt Late Model Series Directors Vicki Emig and Mike Leone are excited to announce that Merrittville Speedway will host its first Sweeney Tour event on Monday, May 18. The history-making first ever Crate Late Model event will be held on the Canadian Victoria Day holiday at the Thorold, Ontario showplace owned by legendary racer Pete Bicknell along with Randy Williamson.

Three first time champions were among the many honorees as the Merrittville Speedway Kart Club celebrated the 2014 Lucas Oil Weekly Karting Series Season Sunday November 2nd at rural Thorold’s Club Castropignano.

Merrittville Speedway’s 63rd consecutive season officially came to a close with the Night of Champions Saturday November 1st honoring the 2014 Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Series Champions and other award recipients.

Merrittville Speedway’s 63rd Season Triple Header Finale at Merrittville Speedway is anchored for the 15th season by the two day TUSA Canadian National Modified Lite Championship Weekend – Friday September 5th and Saturday September 6th. In 2014, the J&S Heating and Air Conditioning annual event will be powered by Rev’s Full Throttle Powersports and a multitude of lap sponsors and supporters.

Brian’s Tire Repair Night closed the month of August and the 2014 Championship Chases Saturday Night at Merrittville Speedway with Mat Williamson of St. Catharines winning his second straight John Spencer Memorial 50 lap Feature and 1st Bobcat of Hamilton 358 Modified Championship.

 

John Spencer Memorial, Sterling Silver Award and Triple Crown Series Finale among highlights of Brian’s Tire Repair Autograph Night

The Championship Chase for all of Merrittville Speedway’s 5 Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Series Divisions will conclude Saturday August 30th when Brian’s Tire Repair presents Autograph Night and three history-laden events.
