Merrittville Speedway Releases 2025 Schedule
THOROLD, ONTARIO (February 1, 2025) … The 74th season of racing at Merrittville Speedway is right around the corner. The schedule is jammed-packed with events for every race fan, and a filled schedule of events for the Bobcat of Hamilton Weekly Racing Series, featuring the Commercial Auto Electric 358 Modifieds, Semenuk's Esso/Baron Roofing DIRTcar Sportsman, Hoosier Stocks, Rona Doidge Mod Lites, and Allstar Concrete 4 Cylinders.
On track activities begin on Saturday, April 12 with Test, Tune, and Inspection Day. Pit gates will open at 12 noon and cars will be on track beginning at 4pm. Friday, April 18, Dube Realtors will present the Merrittville Speedway Easter Egg Hunt. The 2025 season opener will take place the next day on April 19, with April 26th being the Spring Sizzler featuring the Southern Ontario Sprints!
The month of May begins with the first home track events for the Duel on the Dirt for both the Hoosier Stocks and 4 Cylinders. May 10th will feature a regular show. Rankin Construction will present Niagara's Rankin Cancer Run and will feature a regular card on May 17. Victoria Day Monday, May 19th will feature a 40-lap event for the 358 Modifieds featuring an Outlaw redraw, plus the annual visit by the Northeast Late Model Alliance, a $1740 to win race for the Hoosier Stocks, plus 4 Cylinders, and Fireworks! May 24 will be the annual Big Bike Giveaway night, and May 31st will feature the West Region event for the DIRTcar Sportsman.
June 7th will be the popular Autograph Night, with June 14th being Nostalgia Night featuring the CAA Wall of Fame Inductions and the Jerry Winger Memorial for the Modifieds and the Bill Willard Sr Stirling Silvr Cup for the DIRTcar Sportsman and the NRVRS Vintage Cars. June 21st will be the Gary Cunningham Memorial for the Southern Ontario Sprints, and June 28th will be the School’s Out for Summer Canada Day Celebration!
July 5th will be $2 ice cream night at Merrittville Big Scoop and the popular School Bus race. July 12th will be a regular show, with July 19th being headlined by a small car Demolition Derby. July 26th will be the annual T-shirt giveaway night.
August 2-4 will be the All-Canadian Tribute weekend with three action-packed days of racing. August 2 will be a regular show of racing. August 3rd, Merrittville Speedway will be hosting flat track motorcycles sanctioned by Flat Track Canada . Civic Holiday Monday will be the 4th Annual Canadian Grand Nationals, featuring a 50-lap Modified race, and a $1000 draw for the fans plus a kids gift giveaways! August 9, the Vintage Cars will be on hand plus the School Bus race. August 16th will be the track's second family Autograph Night of the season. August 23rd will feature the PRO Rider FMX show. August 30th will be the final points night for the DIRTcar Sportsman, being headlined by the Sportsman 50-lap event.
September 6th will be the John Spencer Memorial for the Modifieds and Season Championship Night for the Modifieds, Hoosier Stocks, 4 Cylinders, and Mod Lites. The DIRTcar Sportsman will also be on hand for a non-points event. September 13th will be the must see Wreckfest 2025! September 20, Merrittville Eats will present the 3rd Annual Driven Dreams Classic Car Show.
October 3 and 4 will be the inaugural Fall Brawl Weekend. October 3 will feature the 358 Modifieds, Sportsman, Crate Sprints, Hoosier Stocks and 4 Cylinders, with the 4 Cylinders racing in their Duel on the Dirt combined race. October 4 will feature the 358 Modifieds, Southern Ontario Sprints, Mod Lites, 4 Cylinders, and Hoosier Stocks in their Duel on the Dirt combined race. The 8th Annual Fall Craft and Vendor Market will take place on October 25.
The season will come to a close with the annual Night of Champions Award Program on Friday, November 14th at John Michaels Conference & Banquet Centre.
