Rankin Construction Presents Saturday Night Spectacular at Merrittville
THOROLD, ONTARIO (June 15, 2026) – Merrittville Speedway continues its historic 75th Anniversary season this Saturday, June 20 presented by Rankin Construction Inc. Fans will be treated to a full card of racing excitement, highlighted by five divisions of competition and the opening round of the popular School Bus Racing Series and double features for the 358 Modifieds and DIRTcar Sportsman.
On the track, the Commercial Auto Electric 358 Modified Division will headline the racing program. The Semenuk’s ESSO/Baron Roofing DIRTcar Sportsman Division will continue its battle for championship points, while the Hoosier Stocks, and Allstar Concrete 4 Cylinders will compete in Duel on the Dirt events.
Originally known as Stephens and Rankin Inc., the company was founded in 1978 by Tom Rankin and Dave Stephens. Rankin Construction has flourished under the direction of Tom Rankin, who has been the sole proprietor since 1991. Tom takes pride in ensuring that Rankin Construction remains a diverse, people-oriented company with a successful track record for meeting and exceeding client expectations. Projects that Rankin Construction has been a part of over recent years include the redevelopment of the Queenston Bridge Plaza, the Warplane Heritage Museum, Niagara Health System Hospital, and more.
Pit gates will open at 5:00 p.m., with front gates opening at 5:30 p.m. Hot laps are scheduled for 6:30 p.m., and racing action will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Grandstand admission is $20 for adults, $18 for seniors (60+), $16 for youth ages 13-18, $8 for children ages 8-12, while children ages 7 and under are admitted free.
