Nostalgia Night and CAA Wall of Fame Inductions This Saturday Night
THOROLD, ONTARIO (June 8, 2026) … One of the most anticipated events of the 2026 season is set to take center stage this Saturday, June 13, as Merrittville Speedway celebrates its rich history with the 75th Anniversary Nostalgia Night, featuring the CAA Niagara Wall of Fame Inductions, vintage race cars, fireworks, and a full night of racing action.
The evening will honor two legendary figures whose contributions helped shape the history of Merrittville Speedway. Larry Czinege and Pat Collins will be inducted into the CAA Niagara Wall of Fame as part of the track’s year-long 75th Anniversary celebration. In addition, Rick Kavanagh and Rick Agnew will be recognized as recipients of the prestigious CAA Niagara Dedication to Racing Award for their longstanding commitment to the sport and racing at Merrittville.
On the track, competitors will battle in a full racing program highlighted by the CARQUEST 358 Modified Dirt Duel Race #1, along with the Semenuks Esso/Baron Roofing DIRTcar Sportsman, RONA Doidge Mod Lites, Allstar Concrete 4 Cylinders, and the Niagara Region Vintage Racing Series.
The celebration extends beyond the racing action with a spectacular fireworks display, providing a fitting tribute to 75 years of racing memories at “Canada’s Oldest Dirt Track.”
Please note the special times for this coming Saturday night. Pit gates will open at 3:00 p.m., front gates at 4:00 p.m., with pre-race festivities scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Racing action gets underway at 7:00 p.m.
