Ken Hair Beats Mother Nature; Rain Halts Merrittville Speedway Program Following 4 Cylinder Feature

THOROLD, ONTARIO (June 6, 2026) – Ken Hair from Niagara Falls, Ontario found victory lane in the Allstar Concrete 4 Cylinders on Saturday night on Autograph Night at Merrittville Speedway. Following the first feature of the night, persistent rain showers forced officials to bring an early end to the night.

Fans had the chance during intermission to see their favorite cars and stars up close and personal during the Family Autograph session.

Fans and competitors were treated to a full field of 4 Cylinder action before the weather moved into the Niagara Region. Despite the best efforts of track officials and staff, continued rainfall made it impossible to continue the remainder of the racing program.

Merrittville Speedway management is currently evaluating the schedule and exploring available dates to make up the postponed feature events for the 358 Modifieds, DIRTcar Sportsman, Hoosier Stocks, and Mod Lites in the coming weeks. Additional details regarding makeup dates will be announced once finalized.

Fans are encouraged to follow Merrittville Speedway’s social media channels and official website for updates regarding makeup dates and upcoming events.

The racing action returns next Saturday night as Merrittville Speedway celebrates its 75th season with the annual CAA Niagara Wall of Fame Induction ceremony presented by the Merrittville Reunion Committee. The program also features round two of the Carquest Dirt Duel for the 358 Modifieds plus the Sportsman, 4 Cylinders, Mod Lites, Vintage Cars, and Fireworks!
