Merrittville Speedway Releases 75th Anniversary Season Schedule
THOROLD, ONTARIO (January 16, 2026) … The 75th Anniversary season schedule at Merrittville Speedway has something for everyone.
Merrittville Speedway will be hosting the Impact Motorsports Demo Derby Swap Meet on Saturday, March 28th. The following week, the Easter Eggstravaganza event will be taking place on April 4th presented by Dube Realtors.
Racecars will hit the track for the first time on Saturday, April 11 for Test, Tune, and Inspection Day. Gates open at 12 noon and cars will be on track beginning at 4pm. The 2026 season opener will take place on April 18th presented by Peters Construction Group, headlined by the first race of the Carquest 358 Modified Dirt Duel. Lococco’s will present the Spring Sizzler on April 25th with the Southern Ontario Sprints headlining the program. They will be joined by the 358 Modifieds, Mod Lites, Hoosier Stocks, and 4 Cylinders.
May 2 will be Loop Paint Night, with the 4 Cylinder and Hoosier Stock Duel on the Dirt Home race #1 taking place. 97.7 HTZ-FM will present the racing action on May 9, as 2 Cool Automotive presents the May 16th program. MSL Landscaping with Maserace will present the Victoria Day Monday program on May 18th, headline by the 40-lap feature for the 358 Modifieds, plus the Northeast Late Model Alliance will be making their annual trip to Merrittville. Victoria Day will also see the return of the UMP/Canadian Modifieds and Ken Schrader in action. The night will end with a fireworks display from Firemaster Productions. King Paving will present the May 23 program, while Auto FX presents the annual Big Bike Giveaway on May 30th. The May 30th program will feature the West Region event for the DIRTcar Sportsman.
Exclusive Imprint and The Jacket Cellar will present the racing program on June 6, headlined by the fan favorite Autograph Night, while CAA Niagara will present the June 13th program, which includes the 75th Birthday Celebrations with Nostalgia Night and Wall of Fame Inductions, in partnership with the Merrittville Speedway Reunion Committee. June 13 will also feature the second race of the Carquest 358 Modified Dirt Duel, and the NRVRS Vintage Cars. Flat Track Canada will host their racing program on Sunday, June 14. Rankin Construction presents the show on June 20 that will include a special Hoosier Stock purse and the first School Bus Race of the season, with Bobcat of Hamilton presenting Schools Out for Summer on June 27th, with Fireworks.
RCR Performance Golf Carts will sponsor the July 4th racing program, with $2.00 Soft Serve Ice Cream available at Merrittville Big Scoop. Cotton Inc will present the SOS Sprints on July 11, while Fastek presents the July 18th program. Carquest joins Merrittville's marketing program in 2026 will present the final Saturday of the month being July 25th.
The month of August begins with the Civic Holiday doubleheader weekend. Saturday August 1 will be a full Bobcat of Hamilton Weekly Racing Series program sponsored by Niagara Employment Help Centre. Monday, August 3, Baron Roofing presents the 5th Annual Canadian Grand Nationals, headlined by the 50-lap event for the 358 Modifieds, plus the $1000 draw for a lucky fan. August 8th will be the second School Bus race of the season sponsored by Niagara Trailers, while August 15th, Carquest will present the 358 Modified Dirt Duel finale. A small car demolition derby will take place on August 22 presented by Service Master Niagara, while the Waldeck Construction Group presents Family Autograph Night on August 29th.
The 50-lap DIRTcar Sportsman points finale will take place on September 5th presented by Cotton Inc, while Semenuk’s ESSO presents Season Championship Night on September 12th. Wreckfest 2026 will take place on Saturday, September 19 presented by RONA/Doidge Building Centres. Wreckfest will include the popular School Bus Demo Derby, plus the 100 lap Enduro and more.
Racing will end on October 2nd and 3rd with the Fall Brawl weekend. Friday October 2 will feature the 358 Modifieds, Sportsman, Action Sprint Tour for Crate Sprints, Hoosier Stocks and the combined 4 Cylinder Duel on the Dirt. Saturday October 3 will feature the 358 Modifieds, Southern Ontario Sprints, Hoosier Stock combined Duel on the Dirt event, Mod Lites, and 4 Cylinders. Monsters of Merrittville Monster Truck presented by Monster Madness will close the on track action of the season with 2 shows on Saturday, October 10.
Saturday October 24th will be the 9th annual Fall Craft and Vendor Market. November 14th the Annual Night of Awards and Recognition will take place at Ovation Ballroom in Port Robinson.
