Merrittville Loses May 24 Program to Rain
THOROLD, ONTARIO (May 24, 2025) … Due to the persistent rain that fell in the Niagara Region over the past couple days and into Saturday, speedway management made the decision to cancel the racing activities scheduled for May 24.
The Big Bike Giveaway sponsored by Auto FX will be rescheduled at a date that will be announced on the Merrittville social media handles.
Racing will continue at Merrittville Speedway on Tuesday May 27 for the SNIPS Landscape Karting Series for the Merrittville Kart Club. The 74th Anniversary season of racing at Merrittville will continue Saturday, May 31 as DDL Accounting presents the DIRTcar Sportsman Western Region event. A full Bobcat of Hamilton Weekly Racing Series program will be taking place as well as home race number 2 for the Hoosier Stocks as part of the APC Duel on the Dirt.
Pit gates will open at 5pm, with grandstands opening at 5:30pm, and racing will begin at 7pm. Fans can avoid the lines at the ticket booth on opening day, by purchasing your advance tickets online.
