Canadian Grand Nationals Cancelled Due to Rain
THOROLD, ON (August 7th, 2023)..... Due to heavy persistent rain hitting Merrittville Speedway mid Monday afternoon, and expected to continue throughout the day, Merrittville Speedway ownership and management have agreed to cancel the 2nd Running of the Canadian Grand Nationals.
The Speedway will now start preparation into next Saturday's races (August 12/23). Niagara Trailers will present the Bobcat of Hamilton Weekly Racing Series. It will also be the second Family Autograph Night. Fans are encouraged to bring their souvenir hats, shirts, jackets and die casts and to visit their favourite drivers, who will be parked on the front stretch during intermission.
