72nd Season Opener Set for Saturday Night
THOROLD, ONTARIO (April 24, 2023) … The 72nd Season Opener at the Merrittville Speedway will be taking place this coming Saturday night, April 29, presented by Select Total Service. The best racers in Niagara and beyond will make the trip to “Canada’s Oldest Dirt Track” to kick off the 2023 racing season.
The opening night racing program will feature the Corr/Pak Merchandising 358 Modifieds, Right Choice Auto & Leisure DIRTcar Sportsman, Hoosier Stocks, RONA/Doidge Building Centre Mod Lites, and the Vansickle Pet Valu/PV on the Lane 4 Cylinders. Pit gates will open at 5pm, with grandstands opening at 5:30pm. Hot laps will get underway at 6:30pm and the first green flag of the season will fly at 7:00pm.
Grandstand admission is $20 for adults, Seniors 60 + is $18, Youth 13-18 is $16, Kids 8-12 is $8 and under 7 will be admitted FREE. Pit admission is $40 and kids 5 and under are allowed in the pits for $20.
