Merrittville Speedway Moves Spring Sizzler to This Weekend......April Fools!
What you need to know about Test and Tune and The Spring Sizzler!
THOROLD, ONTARIO (April 1st, 2022) … Canada’s Oldest Dirt Track is ready to begin it’s 71st season. Merrittville Speedway welcomes cars back to the track with a Test and Tune day. The Spring Sizzler 2022 will mark the beginning of the racing.
On April 16th, Merrittville Speedway will hold its annual Test, Tune and Inspection Day. Technical Inspection will begin at 12:00pm, while cars will be able to turn laps at 5:00pm. The front gates for this event will be open to spectators at no charge.
The racing season gets under way with the JNE Recovery Spring Sizzler on Saturday April 23rd. The 2022 edition of the event will feature the Southern Ontario Sprints returning to Merrittville. The Corr/Pak Merchandising 358 Modifieds, The Right Choice Auto & Leisure DIRTcar Sportsman, Hoosier Stocks and The Vansickle Pet Value/PV on the Lane 4 Cylinders round out the night of action.
Drivers and teams are reminded that all rules and regulations for the 2022 season are now available online at www.merrittvillespeedway.com/rules/. This is also a reminder that Driver Registration must completed prior to the season. This will be needed to guarantee a parking spot as well as to make the driver eligible for championship points.
