Increased Payouts at Merrittville Speedway in 2022 Driver Registration Now Open

THOROLD, ONTARIO (March 4, 2022) … Racers competing at Merrittville Speedway in 2022 will see their race night payouts increased from years past.

The 358 Modified division will be racing for $1,800 to win weekly, with $1,100 for second and $700 for third. The Sportsman will be racing for $800 to win weekly, with $550 and $450 for second and third respectively. The Hoosier Stocks will race for $500 to win, while both the Mod Lites and the 4 Cylinders will race for $350 to win every race night. The nightly purse has increased by over $5,500 and well over $125,000 for the season.

Track owners Don and Lorraine Spiece along with the work of Race Director Doug Leonard have realized the escalating prices of racing, fuel, and parts not just in Canada, but throughout the racing world. Driver registration for the 2022 season is now open, by going to www.myracepass.com/tracks/1940/registration/ There is NO membership cost this season, but drivers must be registered to guarantee point payout and reserved pit parking.
