Let’s Celebrate Canada Day and Summer at Merrittville Speedway
THOROLD, ONTARIO (June 24, 2025) … Merrittville Speedway will be celebrating both Canada Day and that School’s Out for Summer this coming Saturday night as Bobcat of Hamilton will present the racing action this coming Saturday night, June 28.
Fans will also get to celebrate the holiday by having Canada Day cake plus there will be Fireworks to celebrate! There will be a contest for the best Canada Day red and white apparel at the track during intermission.
Racing will be headlined by the Commercial Auto Electric 358 Modifieds, where eight different drivers have visited APC Victory Lane in nine races. Reigning track champion Gary Lindberg from Ridgeway, Ontario has two victories. In six races so far in the Semenuk’s Esso/Baron Roofing DIRTcar Sportsman, Cody McPherson from St. Catharines, Ontario has been the only driver to visit victory lane. Three different drivers have seen the checkered flag fly over their car this year in the Hoosier Stocks, with Dave Bailey from Hagersville, Ontario winning on five different occasions. Four different drivers have won in the RONA/Doidge Mod Lites, with points leader Tyler Winger from Ridgeway, Ontario having two victories. Five different drivers have won in the competitive Allstar Concrete 4 Cylinders so far. Points leader Alex Riley from St. Catharines has two victories.

Pit gates will open at 5pm, with grandstands opening at 5:30pm, and racing will begin at 7pm. Fans can avoid the lines at the ticket booth on opening day, by purchasing your advance tickets online.
