Merrittville Speedway Postpones 2025 Test and Tune
THOROLD, ONTARIO (April 9, 2025)...With local weather forecasts showing rain and much cooler April temperatures Thursday through Saturday, Merrittville Speedway owners and officials have decided to postpone the originally scheduled Test and Tune to a new date of Monday April 14th, 2025. Warmer temperatures and forecasted sun will make for a much better date.
Pit Gates will open at 1pm and technical inspection will open in the turn 2 scale area at 2pm. Sprint car engine heat will be at 5:30pm and on track activities will be from 6pm to 9pm. All cars racing in the 5 Bobcat of Hamilton Weekly Racing Series much go through tech before entering the race track.
Merrittville Speedway is preparing for a busy Easter Holiday with the weekend kicking off on Good Friday, April 18th with the 2nd running of the Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Dube Realtors and Merrittville Speedway partner to bring a ton of easter fun to all members of the family with events running from 12pm to 5pm. For more information please visit www.easteregghunt.ca
The very next day on Saturday April 19th, Peters Construction Group presents the 74th Season Opener. The opener will be the first race of the Bobcat of Hamilton Weekly Racing Series. The championship points chase starts with the Commercial Auto Electric 358 Modifieds, the Baron Roofing and Siding/Semenuk's Esso DIRTcar Sportsman, the Rona Doidge Building Centres Modified Lites, the Hoosier Tire Canada Hoosier Stocks and the Allstar Concrete 4 Cylinders all chasing the points supremacy at Canada's longest running dirt track.
