Doubleheader Weekend On Tap at Merrittville Speedway
THOROLD, ONTARIO (June 6, 2023) … The second doubleheader weekend of the season will take place this coming weekend at the Merrittville Speedway. Saturday action features the first visit of the year by the Action Sprint Tour while Sunday’s Wreckfest Jr program will be a fan-favorite.
On Saturday, Pen Centre presents the Action Sprint Tour along with with Corr/Pak Merchandising 358 Modifieds, Right Choice Auto & Leisure Sportsman, RONA/Doidge Building Centre Mod Lites, and the Vansickle Pet Valu/PV on the Lane 4 Cylinders. Saturday will also feature the Best Appearing Dog Contest during intermission.
The Action Sprint Tour stop at Merrittville will be round two of the 2023 Oakwood Transport West Schedule. The Pinty’s Action Sprint Tour always brings a strong field to Merrittville. Jacob Dykstra (2) and Mike Bowman (1) visited victory lane with the tour in 2022 at Merrittville. Dykstra is the reigning Pinty’s Action Sprint Tour champion.
Pit gates will open at 5pm, with grandstands opening at 5:30pm, and racing will begin at 7:00pm on Saturday night.

Sunday, RONA/Doidge Building Centre presents Wreckfest Jr, featuring the 72-lap Enduro accelerated by 97.7 HTZ FM Also on the card will be ProRider FMX, and a Gut & Go Demolition Derby. Pits will open at 9am, with grandstands opening at 11:30am. The show will begin at 1:00pm.
