Ontario (May 16) – Unlike the 2007 Season Opener which saw rain delay the Philbrick Farm &
Garden Equipment Senior Feature, action May 15th never got past the first round of the Hoosier
Tire Canada Heats.
“With the storm warning that had been issued,” relates (Merrittville) GM
Erica Bicknell, “we had to act in the best interest of our race teams … the winds were quite
strong … we had some rain and there was considerable lightening in the area as well.”
When racing resumes Tuesday May 22nd, the entire night will be restarted with
any drivers that were in attendance will utilize the same lineups. Any drivers that were not
signed in will fall in behind.
Anyone that was in attendance May 15th is asked to keep their wristbands for
admission.
May 22nd will be the first night of the season that the Drummond Home
Hardware Garden City auto Complex Novice Division will have a Burris Tire Feature in addition
to heats
Kart Racing continues Tuesday May 22nd featuring 5 Original Pizza Logs
Divisions as in addition to Novice, there is the RCM Racing Equipment Cassell Manufacturing
Junior 1, Ed MacPherson Construction Junior 2, KC Auto Parts Superior PetroFuels Junior
Restricted Heavy and the Philbrick Farm & Garden Equipment Senior Medium Classes.
Gates open at 5:00 with racing beginning at 7:00. Grandstand admission is
free.
