Thorold, Ontario (June 13) – Jacob Lutz is starting to become the Paul Klager of the Kart Weekly Racing Series after winning his fifth straight feature event of the 2007 Season at Merrittville Speedway. 

Klager – a former karter himself, and now part of the Tech Team has won the first 6 Lucas Oil Open Wheel Lite Features of the season on the Stock Car Track Saturday Nights.  

In other Original Pizza Logs Feature action, Ben Werth earned his second Ed MacPherson Construction Junior 2 Feature while Bobby D’Ambrosio won for the fourth time in the Philbrick Farm & Garden Equipment Senior Medium Division. 

Defending Champion Cori Webber won her first KC Auto Parts Superior PetroFuels Junior Restricted Heavy Feature of the season. 

The Drummond Home Hardware Garden City Auto Complex Novice Division Gregory Beckett winning his second feature. Another second time winner was Jordan Cosco. Cosco’s cousin Dylan Davidson won his first feature of the season to round out the night’s winners. 

Merrittville Speedway’s Kart Race Teams are reminded that there is a Kart Demonstration Saturday June 16th as part of SMS Machine Night. For information or to register – call the Speedway Office. 

 Kart Racing continues Tuesday June 19th. Gates open at 5:00 with racing beginning at 7:00. Grandstand admission is free.
