| THOROLD, ONTARIO … Two second generation drivers each won their
first features of the 2006 Kart Season at Merrittville as Noah Caperchione and Jesse Cassell
each topped their respective fields in the Drummond Home Hardware Novice Division Features.
Caperchione is the son of current L. St. Amand Enterprises 358 Modified stand
out Adam Ferri while Cassell’s dad Jack is a former competitor in the Pro Stock Division.
Caperchione raced his Lafarge # 1F to almost a half lap lead in winning his
first event.
In other Original Pizza Logs Feature action, Ben Werth made it two in a row
in the RCM Racing Equipment Junior 1 Division Summer Series.
Matthew Farnham won his first Ed MacPherson Construction Junior 2 Division
Feature of the new season while other first time Summer winners were also Cori Webber and Bobby
D’Ambrosio in the KC Auto Parts Superior PetroFuels Junior Restricted Heavy and Philbrick Farm
& Garden Equipment Senior Divisions.
Kart Racing continues Tuesday August 1st. Gates open at 5:00 with racing
beginning at 7:00. Grandstand admission is free.
