Peterbilt … Kenworth …
Freightliner … Mack … Sterling … International … Western Star – you’ve
got to have a favorite! Or maybe it’s the paint and the chrome … or just
a cool horn!
“It always makes for
an awesome night,” relates (Merrittville GM) Erica Bicknell, “some of
the finest looking trucks around … you’ve got to salute them,” relates
GM Erica Bicknell, “ the trucks work during the week in some of the
worst conditions … but they take pride in their trucks to keep them
looking so good … especially when they come to the track.”
Racing and the
Trucking Industry seem to go hand in hand as many drivers, officials and
fans are involved in both.
Modern Corporation’s
Night will also find Entry forms for the Monday August 3rd
Big Block Grand Marshall Search available once again when you purchase
your grandstand tickets.
In and amongst the big
rigs somewhere will be the Modern Corporation Team cars of Shawn Sliter,
Jamie Gilbert and Josh Sliter. Look for the #71, #53 and # 17 Modern
Corporation Open Wheel Lite cars on display and in action on the track.
Last season in
conjunction with the Niagara Region’s Green Bin re-launch, Modern

Division.
“We’re real excited
about Modern’s new commitment to the Open Wheel Lites,” reveals
(Merrittville GM) Erica Bicknell, adding “their increased involvement
will benefit our race teams while promoting the values of environmental
preservation … we can’t wait to go green!”
