- The 2008 DIRT WEEKLY RACING SERIES will roar to life
this Saturday Night May 10th at the Merrittville
Speedway. Speedway Officials are preparing for another
year of top notch racing action.
"Like many
race fans, we are anxiously awaiting the first regular
night of weekly competition" stated speedway manager
Erica Bicknell, "we expect to see some very tight
competition in all five of our weekly racing
divisions.”
According to
Bicknell, race fans are in for a heck of a battle for
all five track championships, "with the level of
competition and favourable car counts … the calibre of
racing action will be intense from the first green
flag on May 10 until the last regular point event on
August 30th …you simply just won’t want to miss a
single event!”
To all of
the fans, drivers and teams who have ever been
involved with the track and to those who may be
considering showing up for the first time - we
sincerely hope that you join us this year … enjoy
every lap of racing and enjoy every moment of the race
track experience.
The
countdown is on for Saturday Night and we hope you are
as excited as we are for the coming of a fresh racing
season. We look forward to seeing each and everyone

The Dirt
Weekly Racing Series program on Saturday evening has
the BEST deal in town for FIVE Weekly Racing Divisions
all for a $10.00 Adult general admission ticket. Its
up close live entertainment.. grass roots local racing
at its BEST !

Hats in the Novelty Trailer located just inside the
Grandstand Front Gates. Race Teams can also find a
selection in the Pit Concession.
Gates will
open at 5:30. A Mandatory Driver Meeting for the Open
Wheel Lites and 4 Cylinders is set for 6:00… with Hot
Laps starting at 6:30. Starter Doug Leonard’s first
green flag is set to drop at 7 PM!
