Thorold, Ontario (March
26) – Welland’s Boston Pizza celebrated it’s grand
opening April 25, 2006.
Two years later – it
will launch it’s third year of operation with a
special ticket offer for Merrittville Speedway Race
Fans – all season long – and it all starts in just 28
days or four more Saturdays – when the 57th
consecutive racing season begins with the Baron
Roofing Windows and Doors Spring Sizzler 100.
“We’re excited to bring the Boston Pizza experience to
Merrittville,” says Trevor Sainsbury. “As local
residents, we look forward to serving and meeting
people from our community and offering race fans a
great, new casual dining experience.”
With every 2008
Merrittville Speedway Grandstand Ticket purchased –
race fans can look forward to a special offer from the
Niagara Street establishment which at the time of
opening was the 58th location across Ontario.

The 258-seat
restaurant offers two experiences under one roof – a
family-friendly dining room and an action-packed
sports bar complete with four 56 inch LCD televisions
with stereo sound. Boston Pizza also features a
heated patio beautifully decorated with cultured stone
and glass walls.
“We’re equally excited
about this new partnership,” revealed (Merrittville
GM) Erica Bicknell, “race fans and teams alike should
make it their team headquarters … you’re among friends
at Boston Pizza!”
From the race track on
a Saturday Night – head towards Welland on
Merrittville Highway and before you see David
Chevrolet Corvette on your right hand side – you will
see Boston Pizza on your left.

of course are welcome any time at Welland’s Boston
Pizza.
The restaurant is
owned by Sainsbury and his wife Sarah and their
partners Lou and Debbie Memme, Ryan Memme and Stephen
Memme. The group also owns the Boston Pizza location
in Grimsby, which opened in May 2005.
Boston Pizza Welland is an active member of the
community year-round and will sponsor local amateur
sports teams, schools and charities. The restaurant
will also raise funds for Kids Help Phone, the Heart
and Stroke Foundation of Canada, and the Juvenile
Diabetes Research Foundation through the Boston Pizza
Foundation, which has raised $4.3 million for various
Canadian charities.
Boston Pizza International Inc. began in Edmonton
Alberta in 1964 and since then has grown to more than
200 restaurants across Canada.

will also launch a new and exciting partnership with
Welland’s Boston Pizza!
