Speedway’s 2008 Baron Roofing Spring Sizzler 100 50 Days away and counting down
– it can only mean that the first full 5 Division DIRT Weekly Series Race Card
of the 57th Season is just 57th Days away as well.
New cars … new drivers … new faces throughout
the grandstand and pit areas – and a new event sponsor to Merrittville Speedway
when all 5 Dirt Weekly Racing Series Divisions overflow the pit area – Saturday
May 3rd.

After an impressive season in the Billy Brooks
owned #15J last season, Tim Jones has reunited with the family-owned Kendrick
Race Team for a Three Car effort that also includes Scott George and 2008
rookie Todd Kendrick and all three are hoping to make an impression in the
Baron Roofing Spring Sizzler 100 April 26th prior to their new sponsor’s event.
Todd Kendrick is hoping to put last season
behind him with the move to the L. St. Amand Enterprises 358 Modifieds.
As a Lucas Oil Open Wheel Lite competitor in
2006 – the London firefighter scored his first career feature win. Looking to
expand on that last season – much of the year was lost after injury kept him
out of the driver’s seat.
Kendrick is part of the team owned by his
family – his brother Darren and their father Wayne.
“We’ve been trying to put the pieces together
for a few seasons,” relates Kendrick, adding, “thanks to Global Warranty

kick off its new season with Registration Night as the younger race fans also
prepare for another activity-packed season.

The star studded 358 Modified Super DIRTcar
Series Stars are set to challenge our home town heroes in the Spring Sizzler

the Sportsman and a 25 lap Street Stock Open Event.
