December 1st is when the final curtain will close on the 56th Consecutive Race
Season at Merrittville Speedway.
The recently renovated Club Castropignano
will once again play host to the Gala Awards Night. The entire staff and
management at the Club take personal pride in preparing and hosting our event
and Merrittville Speedway is pleased to support our local community.
Festivities for the December 1st awards ceremony will see the reception begin
at 4:30 p.m., with dinner promptly served at 6:00 p.m. The Awards Ceremony
portion of the evening will follow and dancing to RPM DJ to conclude the
season.
The top twelve drivers in each of the five
Dirt Weekly Racing divisions will be honored. The top five point finishers in
each division will be receiving point money and trophies, while positions six
through twelve in each division are also eligible for point fund prizes based
on attendance of 75% or greater of the scheduled events for the season for a
division. Drivers that finished in the top twelve in each division must be in
attendance to claim their awards.
Along with all the hardware for the
evening the Traditional Champion Rings will be presented to Pete Bicknell as he
is set to receive his 19th career title, and four newly crowned champions, Abel
Castelein, Paul Klager, Rob Murray and Chad Chevalier. Also featured for the
evening will be numerous Specialty Awards.
Duel on the Dirt Awards involving Hoosier
Stock Drivers as well as Team Merrittville Drivers that competed in the Lucas
Oil Shootout Events for Sportsman and 358 Modified Divisions will also be
presented.

programs around for drivers and race teams alike.
Nearing a sold out capacity crowd of crew
members, sponsors, officials and family members will attend.
