Thorold, Ontario (June 4) – KC Auto Parts Victory Lane saw another new face June 3rd as Alex Riley won his first KC Auto Parts Original Pizza Logs Novice 2 Kart Feature of the season at Merrittville Speedway. 

It also saw some familiar ones as Joshua Hanson, Matthew Farnham and Aaron Barker earned their second wins in the Drummond Home Hardware Garden City Auto Complex Novice 1, Superior PetroFuels Junior Restricted Heavy and Philbrick Farm & Garden Equipment Senior Medium divisions respectively. 

In just 6 events to date in the 2008 Spring Series, two drivers have won 4 times – Jacob Lutz in the RCM Racing Equipment Cassell Manufacturing Junior 1 Division and James Moll in the Ed MacPherson Construction Junior 2 Division respectively. 

The new PartSource Masters Division continues to run with the Senior Mediums and Mike Journeaux was credited with first place points. 

The night was hit with a brief shower during the heats and officials were ableto bring the racing surface back into racing condition. Merrittville Speedway would like to thank those that helped as well as the race teams for their patience through the rain delay. 

Kart Racing continues Tuesday June 10. Gates open at 5:00 with racing beginning at 7:00. Grandstand admission is free.
